TROPISULF Sublimed Sulfur Paste

Bullet Points:

✅ Deep Mite Treatment: Conventional mite strips fail to kill Tropilaelaps mites inside capped brood cells. You can apply TROPISULF sublimed sulfur paste directly onto the capped brood to effectively eliminate these hidden mites.

✅ Disinfect the Colony: This treatment not only kills mites but also sanitizes the bees' living environment.

✅ Treat Outbreaks Quickly: TROPISULF paste quickly lowers mite populations during Tropilaelaps outbreaks.

✅ Proven Efficacy: A method validated by beekeepers across Asia for its effectiveness in controlling Tropilaelaps mites. It can also eliminate Varroa mites.

Product Description

Originally from Asia, Tropilaelaps clareae mites are one of the parasites on honey bees. They have recently spread to Europe and America. Beekeepers in the Asian area use sublimed sulfur as a chemical treatment for mites.

TROPISULF paste has this ingredient. It fights mites and also kills bacteria. Sublimated sulfur changes into pentasulfuric acid when it comes into contact with the epidermis. This acid possesses properties to kill mites and bacteria, can dissolve the epidermal keratin, and soften the epidermis.

During the mite treatment process, we recommend providing nighttime feeding to enhance the bees' resistance. By feeding the bees in the evening, honey bees recover more quickly once the mite infestation is under control. This practice facilitates a faster recovery and helps maintain colony stability.

How to Use TROPISULF

1. Application Timing: The ideal time to apply TROPISULF is on a sunny day. The most desirable temperature range is 20°C to 30°C.

2. Shake the TROPISULF container thoroughly, and immerse the brush in the emulsion. Remove the brush until it stops dripping. Apply it evenly to the brood cells that have sealed cappings.

3. Please note that you should not use TROPISULF for the brood honeycombs without cappings. If you find the mite infestation is severe, repeat the above steps after a period of 10 to 15 days.

4. We do not recommend using the product when the temperature drops below 20°C. When the temperature rises above 30°C, lower the dose.

Precautions

Choose 2-3 bee colonies for a trial before using any medication. They should base this on their different conditions. Monitor them for over 24 hours to formulate a medication plan for your beekeeping operation.

TROPISULF has no significant side effects on healthy bee colonies. Too much dosage can harm royal jelly production because it may lower larval jelly. In serious cases, it can cause unhatched eggs and even stop the queen bee from laying eggs.

Remedial Measures for Medication Misuse

In cases where we have errors in operation, such as the brood not hatching or the queen stopping to lay eggs. We may take the following corrective actions to help restore normal hive function:

If pesticide damage is suspected, recovery can be attempted by replacing combs and flushing them with sugar syrup.

First, we remove all the empty and brood combs from the hives. Then, fill them with diluted honey syrup and use a honey extractor to spin out the syrup. Repeat this step three to four times.

Afterward, we take back the thoroughly cleaned combs to the hive, and the worker bees will carry on the cleaning work. Once we finish cleaning the honeycomb, the queen bee can typically resume normal.
