Product Description
If Varroa mites become resistant to VAROXPERT or APIFLUVA strips, formic acid treatment could be a dominant option. This practice also helps accelerate the degradation of those residues. Our FAM dispenser is a tool for evaporating formic acid.
Beekeepers often use 130ml of 70% formic acid for Varroa mite control. If you have 85% formic acid, pour 0.8 liters of 85% acid into 0.2 liters of water. You can get 1 litre of 70% formic acid. The evaporation method is well-tolerated by your queen and emerging bees.
We can master the adjustable evaporation. Dial in the perfect treatment with the turning disc openings. It adapts to various temperatures and hive sizes. Reuse the durable polystyrene design and sponge cloth for many years.
When applying liquid formic acid treatment, you must remove any honey supers. Vapors can increase formic acid and free acid levels in honey. The honey will not be suitable for human consumption.
